Honolulu Christian Preschool (HCPS), a hidden gem, located in lush Manoa Valley, is a small school working closely with parents to enhance the development of their child.  A low student-teacher ratio and an experienced nurturing staff provide opportunities for children to develop into well-rounded individuals. HCPS offers a well-balanced curriculum and allow students to discover personal interests through a variety of hands-on activities.

The Honolulu Christian Preschool hopes to instill the joy of learning, respect of oneself and others, and develop a Christ-like character and biblical morals that will last a lifetime.

OUR PROGRAM

Designed to help children realize their potential​

In each class, our goal is to build trust, instill curiosity and the JOY of LEARNING.

We believe children learn by doing. The classrooms are set up in learning centers, where they are given opportunities to explore, discover, and stimulate their intellect and creativity. Our faith-centered curriculum is based around UNIT of STUDIES. To stimulate the development of the whole child, children are engaged in all areas of development:

I feel very fortunate that my daughter was able to be a part of the HCP “ohana this school year. This was the first year that my daughter was in a school setting and the teachers and staff at HCP made that transition an easy one for her. The teachers and staff are loving and nurturing. Their teaching approach gives children hands on learning that focuses on emotional, social and academic development. My daughter would often bring home beautiful and creative things that she made. She also got to learn through gardening and cooking too. HCP also makes it very special for the students during the various holidays/celebrations throughout the yr. We love coming to Honolulu Christian Preschool because they make learning fun.  When asking our kids, “How was their day at school?” They always reply “Fun!” Having our kids enjoy going to school and learning is a high priority for us.  The teachers and staff at HCPS are truly passionate and caring with developing our children  mentally, physically, and emotionally, getting them ready to take on whatever challenges life brings.”

Our son has been attending HCP for the past two years and we are so thankful for our positive experience! My son loved going to school and came home excited each day to share a Bible verse he memorized, or a fun craft he worked on, or a fascinating fact he learned in science. Honolulu Christian Preschool was everything we could have asked for and more!  With three kids – all with different personalities, strengths and weaknesses, the teachers at Honolulu Christian were pros at relating to and getting the best out of each child.  The school has a strong family culture and I could truly see and feel the warmth that the teachers and staff showed to each child while always making time for me whenever I had questions about my kids.  The hands-on learning activities and projects help the kids learn and retain information in a way I truly feel books and worksheets cannot match.  It was truly a blessing to have my 3 children attend the school!

At night my son will often talk about the teachers from school and how much he misses them and enjoys playing with them. I suspect the reason the school provides such a good environment is likely due to the longevity of the teachers, and how much they truly enjoy being with the children, and enjoy their jobs. Both my wife and I owe Honolulu Christian and will be forever grateful for the loving care and treatment my son has received at the school and hope to have our next child attend this fine preschool.

I would encourage anyone who is interested in sending their child to Honolulu Christian, to go ahead and do so, as they will not be disappointed.
